intermitent stalling turns to constant stalling 700 1987

1987 740 turbo

what was annoying, meaning the car would stall once or twice a week, for no aparent reason. now has become a probelm where it will consitently stall after 5 minutes driving.

will restart after maybe 30 minutes to one hour.

f uel pump and radio supression relays are fine. have swapped in new ones.

when car dies, tach drops to zero instantly, so from advice on this board, i am assuming it is electrical.

have swapped in a known working coil, and voltage booster (what ever that is called, right above the battery).

took off the rotor and cap, look decent, but maybe i should replace, wires are almost new.

so, where next? any advice, or do is there any more information i can give.

when car does run, seems to run just fine.
