Help - '88 240 Auto Tranny Slipping Problem 200

'88 Volvo 240DL with 133,000 miles and auto transmission(AW70). Here is situation : Yesterday after driving about 15X miles at about 40 to 50 mph all of a sudden transmission started slipping. Pulled over and shut off and let rest 10X minutes then was okay until a few miles later when started slipping again so pulled over , rested, then was ok and made it home ok. OD is working good. Tranny is working good - up&down shifting properly. ATF fluid looks good(redish)and is correct level. About a month ago put in new ATF and flushed tranny. What could problem be ? Maybe a bad Overdrive ? Maybe tranny filter is dirty/clogged and needs to be replaced ? I am perplexed. Could it be tranny is bad and will have to be replaced ? (Sure hope not). I thought Volvo trannys were good for at least 250,000 miles. Please Help. Thanks.
