Help! Question about the timing belt counter hold tool, and a few other ?'s 200 1993

I am in the process of changing the timing belt on my 1993 240. I have the counterhold tool from IPD, and tried to fit it on to the harmonic balancer. When the tool is on the harmonic balancer, it will not line up with the bolt it hooks to on the timing belt tensioner when the engine is at TDC. I would have to rotate the engine back about 2" to get the counterhold tool on the timing belt tensioner bolt. What should I do?

Also, I noticed a drop of coolant right on the front of the oil pan where it meets the front of the engine block. Seems to have come from the seating of the water pump. I think the pump will have to be replaced now too. Please let me know what you all think about that too. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Marcus
