Which is it- Brake master or clutch master rebuild kit? 120-130

Hi all,

Ugh. Lots of questions and Google hasn't been producing much in the way of answers. I am planning on rebuilding the hydraulics in my 122 this weekend (after almost getting stranded by a blown clutch seal and never really trusting the brakes) and ordered the needed parts. Some of them arrived today, but I don't think they're right.

The clutch slave kit looks close, but is labeled with the numbers for both the 3/4" and 13/16" rebuild kits (276451 and 273169). It also has two similar but slightly different seals. I assume that they just have one kit for both to cover both types, but thought I'd check anyway.

I also got what I was told was a brake master kit (276461), but looking at the diagrams in the service manual I really don't think this is right. First off, the box is labeled "Clutch Master Repair". Second it looks suspiciously like the 276513 kits offered elsewhere (found pictures through Google). Third, if it is a brake master kit, shouldn't there be a hat-shaped seal and a valve that goes at the end of the spring? Can anyone confirm it as being right or wrong? Since I went ahead and sourced the clutch master kit elsewhere after being told they didn't have it I'll need to get the brake kit on order first thing if this isn't it.

The last question (for today...) is I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the fitting that attaches the brake master to the brake line is? Cam / cvolvo.com mentioned that if I were to get a short length of brake hose and a length of double flare brake line I'd have the right fittings, but I'd line to do it right if possible. I assume that the brake line side of the fitting is for a double flare, but what is the side that goes into the master? The diagram in the service manual makes it look like its threaded straight through, but if it is I don't quite see how it seals.

Thanks so much,

-aric.
