745 Dead ECU Saga

What year Steve? I am guessing 556 is from LH 2.4.

My 2.2 has the 541. Actually this brings about a point of reliability of early design releases. I don't usually like to buy the first year (or two) from a new design as this is invariably the time for engineers to work out the bugs--of course we get to be beta testers!

This would mean non-turbo '89's got the new ECU and turbo got it in 1990 (correct as needed).

Although I missed out on the lh2.4 by one year, I am happy to have what I consider a fairly bug-free ECU. I'm basing that on the lack of complaints here regarding 541 but also on the fact Volvo had several yrs to get it right.

Having said that, electronics are fickle and even the best may have trouble resisting oxidation effects. OK so maybe I better locate a spare..
