Hi Dan,
According to the previous owner the 572 came from a running car that had been totaled due to a rear-end crash. I really think that the ECU doesn't see the required signals from the TPS and AMM, it thinks they are bad, then the ECU goes into "limp home" mode and sets a diag. code and turns the check engine light on.

With your help I learned a LOT about the LH 2.4 system while trying to fix all the screw-ups that the previous owner of my car left behind. I did get a lot of really nice spare parts in the process though :-)
