Help! 940Shifting funny 900

Help. My daughter is getting ready to come home from school (3 hour drive) for break and her 940 wagon 1993 is shifting "Funny" I know that's not alot of description but she thinks she may have pressed a button and it seems like it wants to shift but doesn't. Sounds like the overdrive lock out but I am proud owner of 2 1800ES's a new 1957 444 and V70 and 240...new to these 940's. But compared to the 444 these new cars are complex. I'll need to tell her over the phone so a clear description of location (picture) would help greatly. I'll bet it's easy but she's not patient and just may try to drive 3 hours in first gear. Okay, Bottom line. Tell me something to poke so the problem goes away before she drives home.

Thanks in advance

Christopher
