My transmission slips at low speed only 700 1991

Volvo 740 turbo wagon, near 200,000 miles. Out of nowhere the transmission began to slip departing the driveway the other morning. After researching the board, I had the transmission fluid changed/flushed at the local quick-change.
Nothing changed. Hmmm... A little more investigation shows that it only slips at low speed and the way I overcome it is to place the selector in position 1 or 2, get going above 10 mph, then place it in D , car continues as normal, just as smooth as can be. When I hit a traffic light, I have to repeat this procedure. Sure it is a minor inconvenience to some, but to me it is not right.
Please help me if you can as am not sure what to do next. I really like my wagon, it ran great until this happened. Thanks, Bob
