240 Front speakers - Maximum mounting depth? 200

I had the Boston Acoustic speakers in the front of my car with a Kenwood CD player but I needed a spacer that I made out of 1/4" plywood to keep them from hitting the window. They blew out after only a couple of years so I had to replace them. I found the Alpine SPS-100A speakers fit without the spacer (1-25/32")....they sound better than the B/A ....and they were cheaper. (Tweeter co.)
