What grease to use for lubricating upper strut bearings???? 700 1986

Am going to replace the one piece hubs/struts on my 86 745 with a set of good used strut tubes/hubs from a 90 940. The question is what to use to lubricate the upper strut bearings. They are the yellow plastic rings (no ball bearings as in earlier models). They seem to be in good shape, but after cleaning with brake cleaner, what should I use to lubricate the plastic rings?
I thought about using silicon based brake lube, but what about using wheel bearing grease. Would petroleum products degrade the yellow plastic?
Or should I just use it dry?
Gracias,
el Raidman
