I'm delicately re-painting the side fender badges for my '72 164E. Getting the black paint was easy enough, but the reddish paint on the lower "E" portion has faded so much that I have no idea what it originally looked like. I seem to recall from seeing other cars that it is a dark red...or were they faded as well?
