Pre-detonation ...could that be it? 700 1989

Use nothing but super unleaded and lucas fuel system (upper cylinder lube) treatment. This particular lucas product is excellent! Go the www.bobistheoilguy.com (click onto interesting articles) These engines seem to thrive off of 93 plus octane! I have just a tad bit of piston slap that you can't really hear unless you open the hood and put your ear near the block. Otherwise it runs just as quiet as most of the newer cars. Also try to get enough highway driving in at least 3-4 times a week.
