SU performance tuning... 1800

Nope, I haven't had it rebuilt or anything like that. The one that's currently on the engine is a 007 aluminum unit, and has been working fine with no distributor shaft play that I know of. How do you check the timing on all cylinders? What do you mean by that and how would you suggest going about it? And also, I posted below about a dwell meter, what do you think about that(what I posted below).

When I take this car out of daily service, I'll most likely get the dizzy sent up to Rhys who can rebuild and recurve it for me. I've heard that the 007 dizzy is one of the better stock ones. And then I'd like to upgrade to something better performance oriented that isn't point based. Pertronix isn't one of the best for performance I've heard, although it's better than stock and doesn't need it's points replaced... Thoughts? Corrections? Thanks man!
