Okay, good. You can remember the vacuum thing like this: When the throttles are wide open, the manifold is open to the air and at nearly atmospheric pressure -- when the throttles are at idle and blocking the airflow, you've got a bunch of pistons and valves trying to pump air through anyway, so the manifold pressure is much less than ambient.

Less pressure is another way of saying more vacuum.
