hey all,

Wondering if anyone can give me a solid, legitimate explanation as to why Volvo uses 2 mufflers on the 200 series? (volvo seems obsessed with 2's - 2 fuel pumps, 2 alternator belts, 2 mufflers etc.)

Also, Have any of you just said screw it and trashed the second (rear) muffler due to frequent problems, frustration, experiment etc?

Im really thinking that replacing my system from front muffler back is pointless because the car has a great cat and a brand new muffler (front muffler).

Feedback? Thoughts? Wisdom?
