SU performance tuning... 1800

B20B's & B20E's don't have vacuum advance because they really don't need it.

Have you got a timing light? I would take your pulley off, wash it & paint it flat black. After that dries put some silver paint or whiteout on the timing marks & numbers & wipe of the excess before it dries. The important marks are 25, 30 & 35. Marks at 205, 210 & 215 are very handy if you want to take the time to put them on. You can then check the timing on all four cylinders which tells you what condition your distributor is truely in.

The nice entry is the best part of ram tubes on twin SU's. Ram tube tuning on SU's is a vague thing with twins because the layout gives unequal firing. It works much better when there is only one SU, but Volvo's single SU manifold is very bad.
