740 2.3i starting problems 700 1988

I am having problems with my 740 2.3i. When I start it first thing in the morning it struggles to start and runs poorly, the revs are very low, idle is lumpy and sometimes stalls. If I put any load on the engine it stalls or splutters and revs lower. Revving gently you can get "through" this rough spot and get the engine revving better and running better. But then when I go into drive and load the engine again it struggles again and then eventually will pull off and not have any major probs after that.

Generally the idle is not great anyway but can live with that, its the whole starting thing that gets me.

I have replaced the dizzy cap, leads, plugs etc. Wanted to know where the 5th injector is as I can only find the 4 normal injectors, also ive read about cleaning the throttle body but am unsure of exactly where I need to be disconnecting stuff and how much of a job it is, also are there seals etc that need replacing or would using the old ones be alright?

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Richard
