Which is correct Speedo Ratio 200 1978

I've a '78 262 that came from the factory with an M46 tranny and an r0.980 speedometer. My indicated speed is a little faster than my actual speed. Since the majority of the 262s came with an automatic, I'm trying to find out what the correct speedo ratio should be for a 4 speed with OD. What affect would using a r0.960 speedo have? thanks
