Something else to consider... 140-160

I'm scared of working on the distributor... =D And actually, I just took it out for a drive earlier today, and the car wasn't pinging much, I hadn't changed anything, except there was a bit more of a 92 octane gas mixture in there. I think when I get all 92 octane in there it will be ok for driving around most of the time as it is now. I also played around and took off the airbox's cover, so was running no filters and just the open carbs. The sound was great, and it felt like it might have had more power. I guess we'll find out when I take it to the dyno. I'd really like to run without an airbox or air filters that will be restricting the SUs from sucking in as much air from straight ahead as they'd like to, but that's not really feasible. I like the cold air and I like the filter, but still. It sounds great and probably makes more power. ARgh, we'll see if the sound is actually making more power as well when I get it on the dyno.......... =D

In the meantime, yeah, there could be something up with the cam gear, or the part George is talking about, and then the other factors that it could be, but when I rotate the rotor, it doesn't move smoothly from where it is, to where I turn it, and then let it turn back, it only comes back part of the way when I let go, but not necessarily all the way. I'm going to send it to Rhys if it's the problem or not because I want it recurved anyway. Now seems like a good time to do it(well, when I get the money...)
