760 turbo oil separator 700

Hello,

The hose that extends into the oil pan is not very critical. My brother had a 1984 760 Turbo. He replaced his oil separator and the rubber hose fell completely into the oil pan. He sold the car with nearly 300k miles on it and hadn't a bit of trouble with the hose in the pan. There was no sign that the hose was missing. Also, I would suggest a new oil separator box, not a used one. They are only around $40 from Volvo and coke up a lot. A used one may be no better that what you removed.

I hope this helps...
