front left brake gone BAD! 200 1989

As in grinding the inner circumference of the rotor and making a hideous groaning, almost metal-scraping sound. EEEEK! The passengerside brakes seem fine. I had some symptoms of warped brakes before this happened, and then a brief period this week where I thought it was cured, and then yesterday I sense a slight groan but didn't think much of it. Only today did the left brake make loud groaningt noises, vibration on pedal, and upon inspection did I see where part of the caliper scraped a 0.25 inch (width) circling the inner rotor (near the hub). So What damage did I do?

HOW MUCH $$$ money am Igonna have to burn?

Should I go cross drilled?
