Lost radio presets (fixed?) 1989

About 7 months ago I posted a question regarding lost radio presets. It is with respect to the stock Volvo radio on the '89 745.

Fast fwd a few months. During a search for excessive current draw on the Volvo, I notice the accessories wire to positive terminal is corroded. Hmm. So I removed, wire brush, apply high temp dielectric grease (ok it was just Vaseline) and back together.

I think this has fixed the presets problem. I say "I think" because I only drive the car once per week and the problem didn't seem repeatable.

My theory is the resting voltage of the battery did not provide enough force to get across this corrosion into accesory wire.

For everyone who keeps yelling from the rooftops to maintain clean electrical contacts, keep up the good work!
