Gauges 200 1984

I'm the proud new owner of a 1984 245 Turbo Wagon. I love it but am having some quirky electrical stuff go on. The main thing is the gauges are very erratic. The volts gauge was fine but then it started jumping around and it works it way all the way down to the red. It used to jump back up to the middle but now it hovers down near the red. The oil pressure guage also jumps around some. It seems like it may just be the gauge but want to make sure I'm not screwing something else up by driving on it. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
