Do I need a pickle fork? 200

Apart from the new kickdown cable, I'm going to try to rebuild the bottom half of my front end if I have time this weekend. I've got outer tie rod ends, ball joints, control arm bushings, new poly sway bar mounts and my favorite of all, turbo sway bars. I also need new struts and strut mounts desperately, but I'll do that another time. I anticipate the work I'm doing will drastically improve my ride in any case.

Will I need a pickle fork to remove the ball joints & tie rods, or can I use something else just as easily instead?
