'85 244 DL no start after numerous repairs 200 1985

Hi all,

I have recently finished putting my '85 240 back together after quite a while of sitting in the driveway not being driven. Let me start from the beginning so you can have an idea of what actually prompted the throwing of new parts at the car in the first place. The original problem was that the car would run start and run fine usually until it got up to normal operating temp. Then, shortly thereafter, it would cut out. The engine would not die, it would continue to run, but if you depressed the accelerator, you get nothing. And, to beat it all, it was very predictable when it would happen. Usually it would happen at about 50mph. Once it "cut out", you could let the speed drop to 37mph (exactly the same every time) and it would pick back up. So that being said, let me go down the list of things I've tried and replaced and I would appreciate any advice you guys can offer me.

New: In-tank prepump, Main fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, distributor, rotor cap and rotor button, ECU, 25 amp fuse and waterproof fuse holder (the one on the driver's side of the engine compartment), battery, fuel pump relay, automatic tranny relay, all new fuses (after cleaning all the connections), new wiring harness, performance camshaft and adjustable timing gear from IPD, new spark plugs and wires (Magnecor)

After throwing all this $$ at it, I am pretty pissed off that it still won't run. I'm trying to avoid having it towed somewhere, paying a tow bill, and have somebody take one look at it and diagnose it as being something simple that I just overlooked (couldn't see the forest for the trees). Please help. I'm desperate and as of right now, with my truck in the shop, I have nothing to drive and am bumming rides. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

Ryan
