In the middle of repair of rotted floor, advice needed. 200 1982

Howdy,
Thanks to the response and advice from my previous post, I am going ahead with the repair of a very rotted out floor.

The pic below (#4615 from the technical gallery in case it doesn't show here) is the front passenger footwell.

Note the large hole (which will get bigger when I hack away the rest of the rust) in the floor.

Directly to the right of the screw driver in the pic is the remains of a rotted out support beam which runs outward from the frame towards the A post area.

Does this support member have a name? Can it be replaced, and from what source? If not, any ideas how to fabricate a simular support member?

Thanks.
