The Perlux or Crane or Lumenition conversions all compensate for shaft wobble and wear on the points cam. They have no effect on the advance curve, so having the dizzy reworked for that is a Good Thing.

If you go to the MS+S eventually, sell off the nice, reworked dizzy and put in just about anything that spins. You'll need to disable the advance completely and let the computer do that job.

No performance difference between the Perlux or Crane XR700 -- the XR3000 adjusts dwell (or what would be dwell if you had points) with RPM, so it may be somewhat better... but that becomes irrelevent if you add the MSD box.
