Hi there,
How did the problems start? I have 89 volvo 740 n\a . One might I shut i tdown and when i started it back up after 2 minutes It ran like hell.. Viberations at idle, but when I rev it up it revs up fine.. and power poss while driving till the revs built up. What I found was my timing belt was loose and skipped 3-4 teeth when I stopped my car.when I fixed that problem it ran really good... Check your timing and if it is off check your timing belt marks and know if they match. I hope this helps
