this time it stalled out for good. 700 1985

Went to start my 740T this morning; it ran for maybe ten seconds then died. This isn't abnormal when it's cold, but it wouldn't start again. Came home and replaced the plugs and air filter. Checked, and I can't get a spark from the plugs or the plug wires. Replaced the coil (with a used one); still no spark. That's all the spare parts I have handy.

Thoughts? Is the fact that it started for a bit this morning significant? Is it possible I pulled or broke a bit of the ignition system getting the rear spark plug out?
