replace FPR as 'maintenance' item? 700 1990

So, there's really two questions in this post.

First, do any of you consider this a maintenance item, or do you only replace it when you experience symptoms? I'm fairly certain the FPR has NEVER been replaced on my 1990 740 so perhaps I should do it?

Second, my vehicle uses the Rex-Regina system. FCPGroton has two listed. I think I asked this question a while back but I can't find the answer anymore in the search. The two FPRs that FCPGroton are different for the Bosch system and the Regina system. The Bosch FPR is only $43 , whereas the Regina one is $122! I noticed, however, that the Regina one says it's Genuine Volvo (OEM/dealer) so that might explain the price whereas the Bosch one is Bosch branded.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
