looking for a 122 120-130

Patience is a virtue here! I've been keeping an eye out for a 2 dr coupe for some time. weeks ago I found a 66 with 93 K original miles that basically hasn't been driven since 1974. Most of that time its at in a garage until 5 rears ago when it was sold at an estate sale. Since then i t has been in a shaded car port while the new owner rebuilt the engine. the las t wpomers have taken a real toll a number of dings etc. but the car is rust free and the interior is almost perfect. Did the brakes this weekend and finished up the minor little details to make it a runner (and it runs absolutley perfect too, lucky me) I have less than a thousand in it right now and it has about 80% original paint. I may just polish it up and drive it after I get the new tires on it.

Anyway the moral to this story is: the right cars are out there. Take your time , Keep you focus, and get the word out especially with friends that drive vintage Volvos.

Too bad you are in florida, I know where there is a rust free 4dr sedan 122 sitting in a field right now. But it is in california. Ostensibly it has a rebuilt motor too! The interior is very poor, but complete. All the lenses are good. I am scrambling for a place to store it because I need the front bumper with it's overider bar for my wagon. and it has two of the most perfect fenders in the universe that will replace the dinged ones on my 2 dr so it can go to the paint shop sooner.

Genuine Recaros out of a late 80s early 90s Jetta are super easy to install in a 122... hardest part is finding vinyl to redo them to match the rest of an Amazon interior.

Good hunting

Mike
