Update on the 145... :-P 140-160

The oil in an engine that has sat for a very long time can have all the masty stuff percipitate out, leaving clean oil behind. Once you drive it a little and splash the oil around in the engine it will pick up most of the gunk again. Of course, if you changed the old oil the new oil would do the same thing, so there's not much to be gained from it. It might be worthwhile getting a cheap Fram oil filter and tossing that on the motor before the trip, but I say the fewer things you mess with the better off you are - at least in the scope of just getting it home.
