Engine head removal 700 1986

in order to get head bots off with a 3/8 drive socket you would have to be a true monster. I am 185lbs of average strength and it required a 24 inch breaker bar and the use of a piece of pipe to extend mine. i use the pipe to apply a more even and controled pressure. this combine with the help of a buddy to assure that you keep everthing straight while applying the pressue can save a lot of time with broken head bolts. Here is an example of one of the reasons that we always use 6 point tools on 6 point fasteners whenever possible.....cause they work better. good luck....
