Sorry, Matt, but I disagree.
The top bolt DOES need to go in from the back, however. Sometimes there are
things in the way but it will go in with some finagling, then the nut and
washer on the starter side. Be careful that the starter is seated properly
before tightening the nut and bolt or you can break off the ear on the starter
mounting flange. This is a job that goes much better with a helper.
Grandsons work well for me.
