Rebuilding Girling Calipers myself...grease or brake fluid for lube?? 700 1986

have just received a pair of rear ATE rebuilt calipers and am rebuilding a set of good used front Girling calipers (to replace the aging Bendix calipers now installed).
The rebuild Kit I bought had all 4 large o-rings, the rubber covers and an included packet of grease. I used this grease to lube the pistons and inserted them into the calipers with no problem.
should I have used just Dot4 brake fluid? Or is it OK to use the included grease? Ithink it is 100% silicon.
I'm waitng overnight for the yellow caliper paint (to contrast with the dark blue pAint of the 745) to dry, then it's on to finish the rebuilding.
If I screwed up (won't be the first time)...I still have time to take the pistons out and clean out the grease.
gracias,
el raidman
