95, 960 temperature gauge 900 1995

My temp gauge is dead in the instrument panel and am guessing it may be the sending unit. Called the dealer and they said the part was $43....cananyone tell me where this sensor is on the b6304 eng and easiest way to get to it to change it?............thx Tim
