Pertronix on a '65 1800S : end of the story 1800

Hi there,

I finally fit the pertronix ignitor on my 1800S ... wired the black wire on the coil single connector, and the red one on a "+" after the fuse (only wired when ignition is on). It works great !

I only made few kilometers with it, but I'm sure that the timing is out, as the car seems to heat... just wanted to test the Ignitor, and I'll set the timing on saturday!

So, for people interested, I can confirm that the Ignitor # 2844 fits the Bosch dist 0231-153-002 (only #0231-153-003 was mentionned by Pertronix)perfectly... So it should fit earlier 1800S ...Cool !

silly question: from where do you set your timing (ie hanging the stobo light) ? I assume there is not place enough to do it from above....

thanks to everybody

Olivier
