ABS fairlure on my 1991 740 Turbo 700

Friends,
I finnaly got the old girl back up and running, while on the first test drive (didn't drive her for 5 wks), my ABS light came on.
When braking, I noticed that 3 of the 4 calipers were working, the left front appeared to be seized. So I went to my local pick 'n pull and grabbed one. After instalation, when I went to bleed the new caliper, nothing came out of the bleeder screw. So I checked the new caliper, calipers good, but nothing from the feed line. So I worked backwards. The problem appear to be in the ABS unit, I have good pressure coming from the master cylinder, but none from the left hand line exiting the unit (I cracked the inlet and exit lines at the ABS pump unit to see if I had pressure while an assistant held the pedal) No pressure to the left hand caliper line! Do the ABS units have a history of internal valve failure? or am I barking up the wrong tree?
