Door Pockete Plastic Material?

I don't know what the plastic is but I've had good results in repairing/reinforcing the pockets as follows:
1. Cut a strip of 1" x 1/8" plastic or aluminum to fit along the inside of the pocket at the top edge. You may need to file a few places to get a good fit.

2. Glue the strip to the inside of the pocket. I've had good adhesion with urethane glue such as "Gorilla Glue". Use small clamps during the glue set up time.
Use urethane glue sparingly as it tends to expand and squeeze out.

I've done this to several 240s and never had one crack again.
