I just called the dealer to check on the status of my gas tank recall replacement. He said they were just finishing it up and were going to take it for a test ride this afternoon. I wanted to say: "Don't. Stop. You don't know what you're doing." but I refrained.

They've had it for a couple of months; I guess Oley had to hammer out the parts on his anvil.

If this works out, I'll post all the details and praise the dealer, with their permission. I give them credit: they were the only one of 5 Volvo dealers in Chicago area who didn't avoid me like, well, an embarrassment.
