I'm Impressed, New OEM 960 Air filter S90-V90

I picked up a new air filter at the dealer today and was totally impressed with Volvo on this one. Since I have only owned Turbo's and this is my first NA Volvo
a 97 960, I could not believe that Volvo has a foam pre-filter on the Air filter.
I had also picked up a new Air filter for the 745T and it did not have the pre-filter on it. Is this something that only the NA engines get?
