Broke the rear defroster connection 200

I finally got the time, good weather and enough daylight to delve into my tailgate electrical woes. The only immediate problem seems to be the ground wires in the hinges. When I rigged up a temporary ground wire all devices in the gate function normally. I'm not thinking of this as a permanent fix but it was good enough to get the center brake light working and thus the car passed the state safety inspection.

I did a dumb thing though. I was trying to disconnect the right hand wire to the defroster and instead of pulling the wire off I actually pulled the whole connection away from the grid. I shouldn't have even been fooling around with it but I did and I broke it.

So what to use to stick it back in place? Can I solder it? Or will the solder not adhere to the grid material? Is J.B. Weld conductive enough for this? What should I use? Somehow I don't think Elmer's glue will cut it.
