salvage value 700

With all due respect... how did you arrive at that figure?

I wouldn't pay $3000 for a '90 745T if it was running and in excellent condition. (Well, I might goes as high as $3000 if it had under 100K miles and was in prestine condition. Even then, I'd have to think long and hard over it.)

If you parted it out yourself, you MIGHT be able to net $3K (with a significant investment in time/labor/effort). But the value of it as a whole/parts car is more likely $300 - $500. I know it's not what you want to hear, but I think it's realistic. Search Ebay, search your local paper, and search your local Want Ad Digest (or what ever it's called in your area). That will give you a good idea of the market value.

Good luck.
