Trans fluid change S90-V90

Grouop:
I now have the Mobil 1 oil and Lexus gasket needed for changing my trans fluid.
The plan is to drop the pan and clean everything out.
But when I look for the filler tube and dip stick, I find it so low down that I cannot reach it! Looks like it it has to be removed from the bottom!
My concern is about the possibility of getting a bit of dirt in there when removing the filling funnel and checking with the dip stick.

Would it be better to fill through one of the pipes at the radiator cooler?
Which pipe is the best to fill from? Top or bottom?
A friendly independent will be doing the job.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
S'V'
