salvage value 700

Not sure if this helps but I just had an estimate on some damage I incurred on my 90 745T Wagon (auto) from someone in a parking lot. Broken headlight and corner light, wrinkled the hood pretty bad, but no sub-structure damage at all. For a new headlight, corner light, and a new hood, plus repainting the entire front clip, estimate was at $2200. My insurance company wanted to total it because, according to their book values, that dollar figure exceeded 80% of the car's value. That means they value the car no higher than $2625.

Rather than having them total it, I'm fixing it myself. New headlight and corner light off of ebay for less than $120, Used hood from Voluparts for $250. $950 dollars for a freind of my brother's to paint not only the front clip, but do a repaint of the entire car. He has a shop and would usually charge about $1900 for a repaint, but I'm getting a "family"discount, plus I'm doing some of the prep work myself.
