I just installed rebuilt front calipers on my 1990 240 wagon. I had to also change all the front hoses and brake lines from the brake manifold (pressure differential warning valve) out because all the gland nuts were frozen solid.

After I pressure bled (20 psi) the system thoroughly, I had a low, soft pedal and a brake failure warning light. I bled the system twice more with no improvement so I istalled a rebuilt master cylinder. I bench bled the master then the system twice more and I still have the soft pedal and warning light.

Applying the brakes locks up the left rear but not the right rear. I have not yet isolated the circuits at the front, so whenever the brakes are applied both calipers lock up.

The irony is that before the change the brakes worked well and I only changed the calipers because I thought after 190 Kmi it was about time.

Any ideas of what to do next?
