Mann Oil Filter Test Results 900

I've recently acquired my first Volvo, an immaculate (both in appearance and mechanically)1992 940. As I've always done my own mainteance, I was very pleased to find a wealth of information available on the web. And as I want to "do it right", I want to be sure to use the best oil filter available. Searching through this board, I see that the OEM Mann filters are the only ones considered here. But, (and please, not meaning to offend!!)is there any real evidence to support the quality of this filter, or is it more of a "Volvo attitude" that insists on using the Volvo part that has traditionally been used for years? Below is a link to a test of various filters, where Mann consistently comes out near the bottom of the rankings! Granted... the vehicle used is a Toyota. But are there similar tests out there that truly show the Mann is *the* filter to use? Please... "Volvo attutitude" should not be taken in a bad way! I know people who have owned several, and I greatly appreciate the enthusiasm! Where else could I find whole discussions on how to properly intall the oil draing plug?? ;-) Anyway... if you get a chance, check out the following link. And please post other filter tests if you know of them.
