If your tank is leaking.. 140-160 1974

I think that the conditions required for recall replacement are that your tank is leaking around the large drain hole, where the flange is brazed to the tank.
That was my case.

Yes, I believe they installed a prepump. There was a list of about 40 parts (including washers, o-rings, etc.) on the work order.

Nothing was changed underhood, that I can see.

It only took them 2 months to scrounge up the parts, but the bill came to $0.00. Kept it out of my way for a while.
