rear hatch rust repair pt. 2 200 1986

even if you were able to track down a pristine white hatch for your vehicle it would eventually leak through the seal and the glass anyway...

unless, that is, you found a pristine white hatch from 1990 - 1993 245... which has the upgraded "flush" window on the hatch which doesn't leak...

before I knew this I found a good hatch to replace my rusty one... painted it blue... repaired the wiper motor... mounted it .... ran new wiring...

now a year later it is rusting out where water is leaking under the glass seal...

needless to say I now have '90 hatch which I will be painting soon to install as a second replacement!
