radiator/ fluid top off question? 700

Ever since I have had this car I have had to add fluid to the reseavor once a month. Yesterday I decided to do it and took a 60 mile round trip. On the way home after cruising up a long steep hill doing 70ish. On the way down I noticed a puff of smoke out the back but no warning lights or overheating so I continued. when I pulled into the gas station I could smell antifreeze, after popping the hood I could see fluid around the cap of the res and fluid on the res hose. I felt the hoses and pressure was still built up so I left it alone. Last night after the car had cooled off I popped the res cap and maybe between a cup or two was gone. I went to the mall and when I got out I could smell the anti freeze again. when I came out of the mall I popped the cap and pressure was still built up but it pushed some out. Anywho it seems like I can drive this thing for months without putting fluid in and the fluid level will stay just at the throut of the res. I have replaced everything but the radiator and I have one of those waiting to be put in. Any ideas thanks in advance
